During the full licence test you’ll be expected to name and respond appropriately to road hazards without any hints from the testing officer.

We can help build your confidence, practice describing the hazards you see and your response out loud and touch up on your skills. We can book your test when you’re ready for it and take you to your test if needed.

It is important for your safety, the safety of our instructors and other road users that you do not attend any scheduled appointments under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Living within the Waitomo/Ōtorohanga District.
  • Have completed an approved Defensive Driving Course and held your current New Zealand Restricted Licence for 12 months or more.
  • Have held a current New Zealand Restricted Licence for 18 months or more.

Cost

  • If you attend any of our local high schools you will pay $20 towards your test fee.
  • If you are working, you are expected to pay your theory test fee of $109.50.
  • If you are with Work & Income, we will discuss payment options with you directly.
  • If you are not in school or working, you are expected to pay your theory test fee of $109.50.

On Program Expectations

  • If you are unable to attend any scheduled appointment, you must notify Number Twelve as soon as possible. 
  • To attend all scheduled appointments with your physical licence card and vaccination passport.  Photos of your licence will not be accepted.  
  • Pay your test fee ($20 or $109.50)
